The original badge features on the left chest of this garment with Ellis Rugby branding on the arm and collar stand.

The  name ‘All Blacks’ dates from the first tour of the UK by a New Zealand national rugby team, the Originals, in 1905-06.

According to Billy Wallace, one of the members of the Originals, a London newspaper quoted – ‘the New Zealanders played as if they were “all blacks” – which in fact, should have been – “all backs”. This simple typographical error is to blame for the now famous team name.

Manufactured from satin touch 100% Cotton. The Vintage New Zealand Rugger features detailed embroidery on the original badge. Also included on this garment is matching inner placket, cuffs and collar as well as herringbone detail on vents and velvet tape on the neck opening. In addition a complex ‘7’ applique patch features on the back with the subtle Ellis Rugby branding on the collar stand and tone on tone logo on the arm.

Available in sizes S – 4XL.

Please note this jersey is not a licensed product, nor is it a playing shirt. It is inspired by the national heroes who have played the wonderful game of Rugby Football.
